Utah 1/11-15/15

Long story short, Utah has been amazing.
I’ve been working my way back from Boulder to Washington, taking a couple day break in the road trip here in Utah. I could not have timed this trip any more perfectly; it snowed about a foot and a half on Monday, the day after I got in, and it has been sunny ever since.

I started the week off with an awesome day inbounds at Alta with a crew of local guys I’ve been staying with, including one dude who is shipping out to Europe tomorrow for the Freeride World Tour. Needless to say, they all rip, and it was a killer day on one of the best mountains I’ve had the chance to ski.
Next up was a jump build in one of the legendary backcountry spots in all of skiing, Grizzly Gulch. Just next to Alta, Grizzly has seen some all-time skiing moments (including Tanner Hall’s famous broken ankles on Chad’s Gap) we had a super mellow day with a fun crew.
And finally today, I got to take some fun little laps in the still-shaded areas of Grizzly that still held some great snow.

Until next time Utah!
